    HELIOS Cave House is nestled in the heart of old Oia, just below the famous Castle and sunset point, along the picturesque path leading to Ammoudi Bay. Built more than 150 years ago into the volcanic cliffs of Santorini, the house reflects the island’s authentic cave-house architecture, naturally designed to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.

    Carefully restored and modernized, the villa combines traditional Cycladic charm with contemporary comfort. Guests can enjoy breathtaking sunset views from the private terrace, overlooking the Caldera, Ammoudi Bay, Thirasia Island, and the endless blue of the Aegean Sea.

    Decorated with original artwork and traditional island elements, HELIOS offers a warm and relaxing atmosphere ideal for romantic escapes, family holidays, or peaceful island living.

    Santorini’s water comes from desalinated sea water and is safe for everyday use.

    For hot water:

    • Switch the water heater on before showering.
    • Water heats within approximately 5–7 minutes.
    • Please switch the heater off before entering the shower.

    Helios Cave House was spectacular! We visited in “off season” and there was very few people in town, which we found to be an amazing plus. The views and photo opportunities were breathtaking but the people and ability to enjoy the atmosphere was even more special. The house itself was comfortable and easily located. Close to everything we visited. We highly recommend this place for anyone — Maria and Islam were also spectacular! Can’t say enough amazing things.

    This is truly a remarkable place to stay and Maria and her team were incredible to work with! The private rooftop patio was the perfect place to watch the Santorini sunset.     We were a family of 7 traveling together. We stayed in two of the houses. Helios had an amazing view of the sunset from its rooftop terrace. It also seemed to have the most photographed blue door in Oia. Our other house had a nice hot tub. Maria was beyond helpful: booking our transfers, having her guys move our luggage, bringing us wine and ice cream cake on the terrace. This was a stay of a lifetime!

    The property was in the heart of Oia. On the main steps to Ammoudi Bay with a balcony area and terrace with prime sunset view directly facing the water. Did not have to deal with the crowds or restaurants to be able to see the sunset. Wine and light snacks were provided to enjoy the sunset. There was a small kitchen area with light breakfast items provided. Daily housekeeping was offered. Very clean. Maria and her staff were available when needed and were very accommodating with any requests we had. Maria was also very helpful in answering questions, making recommendations and assisting with reservations. Staying at this property was a main factor in the success of our trip. Highly recommend it!

    Location, location, location. If you want your own private bliss of the sunset, the Helios cave house is the place to be. It’s a cute cozy cave house that has all the personal touches. You are right where people come to see the sunset. Maria is super helpful and very easy to communicate. Will definitely stay here again whenever I come back.
